My name is Jemaya, and I’m 22 years old. I’m an artist based in Queensland, Australia. Art is my main hobby, but I also work in age care as a main source of income, which I find really fulfilling as well. I definitely feel that because of working in age care, it’s helped me to be a better listener, which I think is a very important skill to have when it comes to relationships and just everyday life. It’s also made me feel more natural and comfortable in social situations, as I’m not a very extroverted or charismatic person naturally, in my opinion.

I’m Married to my awesome husband, Ryder. We’ve been married since 2023, and we own a cat together, her name is Pigeon. lol. So far though, being married has been the most fun, and exciting years of my life. He’s such a creative person, it’s fantastic. In fact, when I paint, he gives me so many ideas. If I ever have painters block, all I have to do is ask him what he thinks and I’m inspired again, the ideas start flooding my brain!

When I first started getting into art I was probably around 5ish. My parents worked full time back then, so they’d often have my grandma look after me, as well as my little brother, and our 3 cousins. It was a blast back then! All five of us drawing and painting together on our grandparents tiled floor in the tv room. Then when we were done, Papa would get out his digital camera and take photos of our scribbly messes, and up load them as listings on eBay.

Weirdly enough, people actually placed bids on them, not for a lot of course, but still! I think the most I made, somehow was ten dollars or something.
