my fuel to your fire

It’s so daunting to be open on a canvas. For me it is anyway, not sure if others can relate, but it just feels so strange to paint something direct. It reflects on you as a person, which is something so intimate. I hate the thought of the audience being confused, or there’s the possibility of people misinterpreting your message. Because all of a sudden, there is a right way to interpret it and a wrong way… to some degree anyway. But I felt it was important to be honest anyway and take the chance. After all, that is what makes art. That’s what gets people talking, or even better… thinking.

So I present to you, ‘my fuel to your fire.’ A visual representation of what happens when you try to make amends with someone who is only there for themselves. Maybe you give them a gift, along with some friendly advice to help them with their strange way of coping, but instead of enjoying friendship, your met with fury and anger. It’s exhausting, and you wish you could back out and run away, but you’ve already put fuel on the fire.
